Xary the Apothecary

Tip #3
Black Lotus
Black Lotus is a great mild pain reliever taken internally. Teas and infusions may work but for a short amount of time. A tincture would be the most effective use in pain relief but, of course, must be prepared at least two weeks in advance. Make it now and have it for when you really need it.
Warnings: Only use the recommended amount in the infusion and tincture instructions found at the end of my text and only one cup should be imbibed in a two-hour period. Any more can cause nausea and vomiting. Black Lotus is extremely rare. There are two types known to herbalists as Alpha and Beta. Though both are very valuable and rare Beta is the better of the two. It is slightly younger and more potent with less flaws. There are other knock-offs so be sure to have an experienced herbalist examine it before purchase or use.
For instruction on teas, infusions, tinctures, and salves feel free to ask.
Xary the Apothecary brings to you an instruction on how to use herbs in their natural form in the ways of healing, which can be different than
their uses in alchemy. A trained alchemist can breakdown and extract specific qualities of these herbs to create elixirs and potions to assist in battle, but what of the herbs in their natural form? A new tip for every issue! Feel free to seek Xarysin of the Midnight Reveries for any ailments or questions.
A full list of herbs can be found in the Midnight Reveries’ library at Wintergarde Keep. Permission is needed for access to the volumes.
