Apothecary Tips
Xary the Apothecary brings to you an instruction on how to use herbs in their natural form in the ways of healing, which can be different than their uses in alchemy. A trained alchemist can breakdown and extract specific qualities of these herbs to create elixirs and potions to assist in battle, but what of the herbs in their natural form? A new tip for every issue! Feel free to seek Xarysin of the Midnight Reveries for any ailments or questions.
Tip #2
Arthas’ Tears
Make tinctures from the flowers and leaves for a sedative. This is such a powerful sedative that it can be considered a tranquillizer. Only a small handful should ever be used at a time.
Warnings: Large doses may cause headache, giddiness, blurred vision, restlessness, nausea, and morning grogginess.
A full list of herbs can be found in the Midnight Reveries’ library at Wintergarde Keep. Permission is needed for access to the volumes.

A suitable substitution for the rare Arthas’ Tears herb would be Peacebloom, which you can easily obtain from any of the local herbalists or perhaps even collect it yourself in the more “peaceful” areas of Azeroth.
The tea made out of Peacebloom soothes the nerves and causes rather bright and pleasant dreams if taken before going to bed. However, it should still not be taken carelessly, as it still might cause headache and weariness.
Yes, you are correct that Peacebloom can too calm the nerves but at a much less potent state. Arthas’ Tears is a heavy tranquiler in the form of tinctures, whereas Peacebloom is for simple teas. Peacebloom can cause nausea and vomiting but I assure you it is non-toxic. For the dreams I know not of that side effect in myself or others, perhaps you have a pleasant allergy?
However, aside from being a sedative it is not Peacebloom’s main function, that will be for a later issue. Have patience readers I shall get to them all one by one.

Maybe what you say is true, but I always thought there was a large difference between a sedative and a sleep aid.
This is awesome! This is very creative and cool! Please keep these coming!
